Its about that time! We are so excited to announce our next Kid's Hair Cut Day!! Our salon shuts down exclusively for our little ones and our girls give out some sweet back to school cuts for $5! Spots tend to fill up fast, so make sure to give us a call to book soon.
Lately my teams been feeling the summer heat, a summer slump; if you will. We're all in need of a little pick me up. At our last meeting we talked extensively about our client experience and how we want joyful, happy people to come into our space. After some thinking I realized that my life mantra needed to be applied. You see, I believe that what you put out into the world is what comes back to you. After our meeting we came up with a plan. To spend a whole day spreading joy and sharing about our beautiful new salon.
If you follow me on snap chat [@Alison.Harper] you can see some fun snaps of us prepping for the fun and all through the day yesterday. We had a two part plan. The goal was to make at least, one person's day.
We started the day wishing people a happy work day while giving away free honey buns. Our girls greeted happy drivers on Main Street here in Laurel. We gave away a staggering 96 honey buns. [and we ate a few too.]
The second phase of our spreading joy campaign was to give away free blow outs, free brow waxes and some cute hair ties. We piled into our cars and canvased our local community. So far, we've got the phone ringing, and hopefully -we've made someone's day. We gave out over 600, YES -600 of these amazing deals. Which means, yes we saw 600 front doors today!
We had to skip this neighborhood! -ha.
We even made a few friends along the way. The guys from Big City Body Art in Laurel even gave us a few $25 off coupons you can snag in our lobby! We know our neighbors now!
At the end of this amazing day, I am so proud of my team. Our girls were genuinely happy to help spread a little joy today. They stepped out of their comfort zone and spent the day in the heat, and yet there wasn't a single complaint. It makes my heart sing to know that I've got such an amazing group of women working with me. Each from different backgrounds; and yet they stand behind my belief that putting good out into the world will only produce more good.
I am so excited to share that Amy & Garrison's beautiful wedding [organized by the talented ladies at Elizabeth Bailey Weddings and shot by my fav. Amelia Johnson Photography!] was featured on Martha Stewart Weddings! Seriously! If you know anything about me you know that I have a serious obsession over powerful, blonde women. [i.e. Leslie Knope, etc.] This just made my Monday. I don't have access to all of the photos just yet, I was darn excited. Plus, Amy looked amazing and really, really happy. Just as happy as I hope she'd be. BTW, AMY!! Your wedding is internet famous!! <3
Hope you have a blissful Monday!
